“Ukraine: the status of the key US’s non-NATO ally. Opportunities for military-technical cooperation and development of defense capabilities”. Round table on October 24 at Ukrinform Information Agency

During the event, experts from the  Ukrainian Security Studies Institute (USSI) and invited speakers will share their vision of enhancing the country’s capacity to respond to all types of threats from Russia as an aggressor country in the context of developing the capabilities of Ukraine’s military-technical cooperation with the United States and the possibility of gaining the status of a major US ally outside NATO. Taking into account the approaching to the key stage of defense planning and preparation of new state programs of the Armed Forces and the weapons and military equipment.

It will also highlight the USSI approaches to the transformation of the security sector, including key elements of defense reform and security structures, the development of military (asymmetric) and non-force response capabilities, counteracting cyber and other information threats, the use of new technologies to enhance the country’s defense potential.
